01
Business context
PropMatch is a Bangkok marketplace for condominiums, covering both rental and sale, with an emphasis on buildings near the BTS and MRT lines.
I joined the product team as a full-stack developer in March 2025 and work remotely.
02
The problem
Condo search in Bangkok is fragmented across portals, agency pages and chat groups. Renters and buyers filter by building, station and budget, then start the conversation somewhere else entirely.
A marketplace only works if the listings are credible, the search matches how people actually choose a location, and contacting an agent does not require retyping the requirement.
03
My responsibilities
- Full-stack development on the marketplace as part of the PropMatch team.
- Building and maintaining customer-facing product features and the application logic behind them.
- Working remotely with the team on an ongoing product, rather than on a one-off project.
04
Constraints
- This is a team product with an existing codebase, live customers and its own commercial priorities; scope is set with the team, not by me alone.
- Employer-confidential material — team structure, internal architecture, commercial metrics and roadmap — is not published here.
- The public experience has to serve both English-speaking expatriates and Thai customers.
05
The solution
- A search experience organised around how Bangkok renters choose: location by station, then rooms and budget.
- Separate rental and sale journeys that share the same listing and enquiry foundations.
- Bilingual English and Thai presentation across the public marketplace.
- Curated featured listings and a direct contact path, so browsing turns into a conversation with the agency team.
- Supporting content and project pages that give buyers context beyond an individual unit.

Search follows the transit network
The primary filter is the station, not a free-text location. For Bangkok condos that matches the mental model renters use and keeps results relevant.
Two journeys, one inventory
Rent and sale are presented as separate paths while sharing listing foundations, so the catalogue stays consistent without duplicating work.
Bilingual by default
English and Thai are treated as first-class presentations of the same listing rather than a translated add-on.
07
Trade-offs
- A curated marketplace with agency-managed inventory gives better quality than an open listing board, but it limits how wide the catalogue can grow.
- Serving two language audiences with shared data keeps maintenance low, at the cost of some copy that does not translate literally.

Screenshots
No product screenshot is published for this project yet. Rather than fabricate an interface, this case study stays text-led.
09
Verified outcomes and deliverables
- Ongoing full-stack contributions to a live property marketplace.
- A public product serving both rental and sale journeys with transit-based search.
- Continued remote delivery within the PropMatch team since March 2025.
No revenue, user counts, conversion rates or client metrics are published: none are verified for public use.
10
Lessons and next steps
- In marketplaces, search filters encode the product's opinion about the market; getting the location model right matters more than adding filters.
- Working inside an existing team rewards small, safe changes over rewrites.
Next
- Keep improving how quickly a listing becomes a qualified conversation.
- Continue strengthening the bilingual browsing experience.
